Emergency Revenue Charge
Effective January 15, 2010, TSA carrier have announced an emergency revenue charge to all contract and tariff rates from Asia to United States.  The pending increases are $320/20, $400/40 and $450/40HC.

Shanghai Origin Terminal Handling Charge 
Starting January 1, 2010 the transpacific ocean carriers will start charging an origin terminal handling charge for all export shipments from Shanghai to United States.  The fee will be RMB475 and RMB750 on a prepaid basis. 

Aden Security Fee
Based on the increased security and insurance fees the transpacific ocean carriers will implement a new Aden surcharge of $41/20 and $82/40 for all shipments transiting the suez canal.

2010 Rate Restoration Plans
Transpacific ocean carriers have announced their 2010-2011 rate restoration plans.  The plan entails a rate increase of $800/40' to US West Coast Ports and $1000/40' to US East Coast Ports and Intermodal locations.  Plus a peak season surcharge of $400/40' on August 1, 2010.  Sales will keep you updated once our next year's contracts are finalized.
